About the job:

The NFR Manager role in London will have a dual responsibility:

 

1. NFR UK role : The role will play a key part in the development and implementation of the local NFR function in the UK. This will include:

  • Supporting the creation and structuring of the NFR UK unit, providing both operational and strategic input during the initial phase.

  • Implementing transversal NFR topics across UK operations, with a particular focus on risk admission and governance frameworks.

  • Ensuring coordination with the global NFR CIB functions to align local practices with group-wide standards.

. R&IC Coordination role : The R&IC Coordination team (based in Madrid), integrated within NFR CIB, acts as a cross-functional facilitator between the second line of defense and the business areas of CIB, ensuring the proper integration of these functions into key processes, strategic initiatives, and internal control governance. This will include:

  • Coordination of strategic projects with R&IC impact: acting as the initial point of contact for new UK-based business projects with regulatory, compliance or non-financial risk implications, ensuring integration of second line perspectives from early stages.

  • Support to corporate-level reporting: contributing to the design, consolidation, and review of executive reports on the RIC CIB function, in coordination with global teams.

  • Regulatory committee governance: maintaining and applying the internal procedure for regulatory and working group committees, including inventory management and process oversight.

 

This dual role requires strong communication skills and the ability to navigate between local UK priorities and global R&IC objectives. Collaboration with stakeholders in London, Madrid, and other international locations (New York, Continental Europe, Asia, Brazil) will be essential. The successful candidate must demonstrate autonomy and adaptability in a cross-functional environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Academic background in Business Administration, Economics, Law, Engineering, or related disciplines.

  • Postgraduate education or certifications in risk, compliance, or financial regulation are desirable.

  • At least 5 years of experience in internal control, non-financial risk, compliance, audit, strategy, or project roles within corporate or investment banking.

  • Knowledge of the internal control framework and applicable regulations in CIB environments.

  • Fluent in English (minimum C1); knowledge of Spanish is required.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate, communicate, and collaborate effectively in multicultural environments.

  • Results-oriented mindset, critical thinking, and proactive attitude towards identifying improvements.
