Responsible Sourcing Lead (15-month Fixed Term Contract), Sustainable Selection ID-1927
Description
**This is a 15-month Fixed Term Contract**
Join us at the edge of Amazon's sustainability initiatives. At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth, and our Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization capitalizes on Amazon's scale and speed to build a more resilient and sustainable company. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.
Amazon co-founded The Climate Pledge, our commitment to reach net-zero carbon across our global operations by 2040. As part of the Worldwide Environment team, Amazon's Sustainable Selection team envisions a world where the more sustainable products of today are the conventional products of tomorrow. We're looking for an individual to drive responsible sourcing initiatives across the company related to wood, pulp, and paper.
In this role, you'll engage with multiple cross-functional teams who source these commodities to help execute a responsible sourcing roadmap. This involves rolling out a risk framework, providing guidance on responsible sourcing processes, and supporting teams in identifying and mitigating high-risk sourcing issues.
